What Steven Miles Systems does

Steven Miles Systems is a Darwin-based web design, automation and software business. We build websites that can actually be found, automate the manual admin that quietly consumes a working week, and write custom software for the jobs that off-the-shelf tools do not do properly.

The work is done by one person, directly, in plain English — from the Northern Territory, and remotely with clients anywhere in Australia. There is no build fee on websites, and everything is quoted before it starts.

Website design

Custom-designed, fast websites where every page is built as its own indexable page — not a single app shell search engines cannot read. Accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA, hosted and supported from Darwin, and editable by you.

Workflow automation

The repetitive admin that eats your week — re-typing details between systems, chasing invoices, assembling reports by hand — mapped, then automated. Quoted per project once the process is understood.

Custom software

Business systems, client portals, billing and lead management built around the way you actually work, for the point where a spreadsheet or an off-the-shelf tool has stopped fitting.

Small business websites

For sole traders, trades and small teams who need to be found in local search, take enquiries properly, and update their own site between jobs. No build fee, from A$250 per month.

Where we work

Steven Miles Systems is based in Darwin. A good part of the work is with businesses and organisations here and in Palmerston, where being able to meet in person and understand how a place actually operates makes a difference to what gets built.

Beyond the top end of the Territory, the work runs remotely — remote communities, regional towns, and clients in other states. Websites, automation and software are all built, delivered and supported over the internet, so distance changes the number of face-to-face meetings and nothing else about the outcome.

How it works

There is no build fee to get a website started. Instead of a large sum up front and then an invoice every time something needs changing, a site runs on one predictable monthly cost that covers hosting, security, backups, updates and support.

You edit your own content. Text, pages, news, events and contact details are changed through a simple admin area, so you are not paying for every small correction or waiting on someone else to make it. When something bigger is needed, it is part of the plan.

Automation and custom software are quoted per project, after the process has been mapped and the scope is clear, so the cost is known before work starts.

Where is Steven Miles Systems based?

Darwin, Northern Territory. We work across Darwin and Palmerston, throughout the Territory, and remotely with clients anywhere in Australia.

Is there a build fee?

No. There is no build fee. Websites run on one predictable monthly cost that covers hosting, security, updates and support.

Can you take on both a website and an automation project?

Yes. Most clients start with one and add the other. The advantage of having both built by the same person is that the website, the billing and the internal workflows are designed to talk to each other.
