Website design in Darwin, built to actually be found

A website has two jobs: turn up when someone searches for what you do, and make it easy for them to contact you. A surprising number of sites do neither, and the reason is usually how they were built rather than how they look.

The problem with most of the sites we are asked to look at

Plenty of Darwin businesses have a website that looks perfectly respectable and is effectively invisible in search. Someone types the service and the suburb into Google, and the business that does exactly that work three streets away does not appear anywhere.

The other common one is the site nobody can change. It was built years ago by a developer who has moved on, the login is lost or the platform is obsolete, and a one-line price update turns into a quote. Both problems are structural, and both are fixable.

Every page is a real page

Most modern website builders produce a single application shell: one file that draws every screen in the browser. It looks fine to a visitor, but a search engine effectively only ever sees the home page, so the individual pages have nothing of their own to rank.

Here, every page is built as its own indexable page, with its own title, its own meta description, its own structured data and its own entry in the sitemap. Your services page, your pricing page and your contact page can each be found on their own terms, which is how people actually search.

Accessible to everyone

Sites are built to WCAG 2.2 AA. Colour contrast is checked pair by pair rather than assumed, headings run in real order so screen readers can navigate the page, keyboard focus is visible on every interactive element, and layouts still work at 200% zoom or on a narrow phone screen.

This is not box-ticking. It is the difference between an older customer being able to read your prices and giving up, and it also happens to be what search engines reward.

You edit it yourself

Content changes go through a simple admin area — text, images, pages, prices, contact details, news. No code, no per-change fees, and no waiting several days for a developer to have a spare hour. Training and handover are included, so whoever looks after it in your business can genuinely look after it.

What is included

  • Custom design built for your business, not a template stretched to fit.
  • Unlimited pages and a self-editing content area for you and your team.
  • Hosting, automatic HTTPS, backups and security updates.
  • Structured data, sitemap and search-engine setup done from day one.
  • Contact and enquiry forms that reach you reliably.
  • Payment, invoicing and giving links where you want them.
  • Ongoing support from Darwin, included in the plan.

Pricing

There is no build fee. A website runs from A$250 per month, which covers hosting, security, updates, support and the changes you ask for along the way. The full breakdown of what is in the plan is in the pricing section on the home page.

You keep ownership of your domain name throughout, so the site is yours and it stays yours.

Website questions, answered.

How long does a website take?

Most sites are ready to review within a couple of weeks, depending on how much content needs writing and how quickly feedback comes back.

Do I own my domain name?

Yes. You keep ownership of and control over your domain name, and the site is pointed at it.

Can you fix a website I already have?

Sometimes. If the existing site is on a platform that cannot produce properly indexable pages, rebuilding is usually faster and cheaper than fighting it. Get in touch and we will look at what you have.
